We are located on the Brule Peninsula just a few kilometres east of the town of Tatamagouche in Colchester County, 50 kilometres north of Truro and 40 kilometres west of Pictou. The county is quite narrow up on the north shore and is flanked closely by Pictou County to the east and Cumberland County to the west.

Tatamagouche boasts a lot of history, going back over 300 years and has grown into a vibrant regional center with an updated hospital, Scotiabank, library, Ford dealership and Farmers Market. The town serves quite a large area reaching from New Tatamagouche from the air near The Country Bread Basket Bakery & Coffee ShopGlasgow and Pictou through to River John and on up to Malagash, Wallace, and Pugwash. Customers come to the area frequently from as far away as Halifax, which is about a 2-hour drive.

Tatamagouche, which derives its name from the native Mi'kmaq term Takumegooch, (roughly translated as 'meeting of the waters’, is situated on the Northumberland Strait, an area popular among residents and travellers alike for its warm waters and sandy beaches. The village itself is located along the south side of Tatamagouche Bay at the mouth of the French and Waugh Rivers.
