Coffee and a Muffin at The Country Bread Basket Bakery & Cofee ShopIf you haven’t tried our Chocolate Cheese cupcakes yet, you are missing a treat! You should see our customers fight over cinnamon bubbles and, we have to hide our pies. If we left them in plain sight, we could never keep up with the demand because our pie dough, which is rolled out by hand, is always filled with our own fruit pie filling.

People keep asking for the recipe for our Peanut Butter Cookies but, it is a highly guarded secret so... sorry. Mind you, we can sell you the cookie dough if you want to bake your own. Just so you know, we scoop our cookies by hand so, if they look homemade, they areWe also bake dark chocolate chips, oatmeal, soft gingersnaps, oatmeal molasses raisin, and oatcakes. Our date squares, like so much of our sweet selection, tastes like Grandma's baking. Leading up to the Christmas season, we do shortbreads, fruit cakes and lots of other scrumptious treats perfect for family gatherings and holiday parties.

Hiding Calories at The Country Bread Basket Bakery & Coffee ShopAll of our sweets, as well as the rest of our baked goods, are made from scratch with no preservatives or additives. Mind you, if you think you can see some calories we will put on a little more icing to disguise them.

From brownies, lemon squares and peanut butter cookies to cinnamon rolls, muffins and freshly baked pie, your senses will feast upon the delight.

My friend and I stopped in today and had their delicious haddock chowder and melt in your mouth biscuits! It was so filling but I managed to find room for a slice of homemade strawberry/rhubarb pie. Well worth the drive!!!

We three gals stopped there for lunch today. What a gem! Clean, and the smells - hard not to drool. I went with the baked beans and brown bread - very delicious and more than this girl could eat. The prices are on the lower side for the delicious food sold here.
